Wacker Neuson sales organizations in Germany and Europe under new management with Fred Cordes

On February 1, 2026, Fred Cordes joined the Wacker Neuson Group and took over as Managing Director of the German Wacker Neuson sales organization; he is also responsible for the nine direct sales markets in Europe. Fred Cordes succeeds Axel Fischer, who left the company on October 31, 2025.
Fred Cordes brings many years of experience in the construction equipment industry and in international sales. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Zeppelin GmbH, the holding company of the Zeppelin Group. Fred Cordes was part of the Zeppelin Group for a total of 30 years and has experience in a wide range of management roles – from starting out as a Sales Engineer in the field, to managing branches and sales departments, up to becoming Managing Director and Chairman of the Management Board.
Together with Frank Sommer, Commercial Managing Director, Fred Cordes will take over management of Wacker Neuson's German sales organization. He will also manage the sales network covering nine markets in Europe. In addition to strategically expanding the market position, a particular focus will be on leveraging synergies, further developing processes and strengthening the Wacker Neuson brand. Together with established dealer partners, Wacker Neuson's direct sales organization enables maximum customer proximity and offers customers the entire portfolio of new and used machines and construction equipment, digital products, rental, financing and services.
